In 2017, Somalia was struck with a severe drought. Over 6.2 million Somalis were affected by the drought. Over 300,000 children under the age of 5 were acutely malnourished. Somali Faces raised critical emergency funds of USD124.011,91  and provided emergency food and water including a mobile health clinics to 54,300 Somalis with an emphasis on inaccessible settlements in 12 regions.
